Hey Polander, just to clear up any confusion; we are well aware of the definition of ‘Polander’ and ‘Polonia.’ We invented the word ‘Polandian’ rather than use ‘Polander’ or ‘Polonia’ because, collectively, we are neither of those things. Some of us are Polish and some British (with no Polish roots). I like to think the word ‘Polandian’ suggests non-Poles who live in Poland or have some close affinity with the place as well as Poles (not Polonia) who speak English or have some close affinity with the UK or other English-speaking countries. Sorry if it caused offense, it certainly wasn’t intended to. And it certainly isn’t an ill-informed error.
Thanks for clearing up the matter of an invention of “Polandian”. I was looking for such an explanation all over your site for quite a few months now
Funny though, that the only another occurence of Polandian one may find in the English section on a Japanise site which I quote above.
One more thing: how come I can not comment on Polandian – all my attempts are discarded automatically
Polander: We discovered later on that ‘Polandian’ is also the Indonesian term for ‘Polish,’ and we still occasionally get confused Indonesian readers. You’re right, perhaps we should add an explanation.
